Nyx Hemera Technologies began operations in 2008 when Pierre Longtin, the company’s founder, developed the Tunnel Lighting Addressable Control System (TLACS) based on powerline communications. Over the past ten years, Nyx Hemera’s team has focused its R&D exclusively on road tunnel lighting optimization. The company’s continuous development of the TLACS reflects its ongoing commitment to delivering ahead-of-the-curve, powerful and robust solutions for tunnel operators.
Since Nyx Hemera’s very beginnings, the TLACS drastically optimized tunnel operations and reduced energy consumption, and slashed tunnel lighting life cycle costs for tunnel operators all around the world. In fact, after commissioning over 50 tunnels on the five continents, the TLACS is now considered one the most technologically advanced, effective and reliable tunnel lighting control solution available on the market. The business is growing and is preparing for development in larger premises.
Heavily involved in the different internationally renowned technical committees, such as the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA https://www.ita-aites.org), World Road Association (PIARC https://www.piarc.org ) and Illuminating Engineering Society (IES https://www.ies.org ), Nyx Hemera’s team has built a solid and proven expertise in tunnel lighting. The team is also now participating in developing the IES-RP-22 and CIE-088’s tunnel lighting recommendations and standards.
Pierre Longtin, President of Nyx Hemera Technologies, said: “We want to thank the forward-thinking tunnel operators that trusted Nyx Hemera’s solution to optimize their tunnel operations as well as worldwide luminaire manufacturers for the adoption of the TLACS as their solution of choice for tunnel lighting control. Thanks to their commitment to innovation, they have helped to position Nyx Hemera as the undisputed leader in tunnel lighting control.”
Nyx Hemera Technology will be meetings customers, luminaire manufacturers, partners and agents at Lightfair 2018 (https://www.lightfair.com/), which will be held in Chicago from May 8 to 10 at the McCormick Place (http://www.mccormickplace.com/).
