NYX HEMERA COMPLETES THE INSTALLATION OF TUNNEL LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM IN THE 11 TUNNELS OF RT. HON. HERB GRAY PARKWAY IN WINDOR, ONTARIO.

Québec City, May 12th, 2015. Nyx Hemera Technologies’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Pierre Longtin, is proud to announce the completion of the installation of the Tunnel Lighting Addressable Control System (TLACS) in the 11 tunnels of the Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway in Windsor, Ontario in Canada.

Nyx Hemera Technologies’TLACS has been installed in the innew Parkway linking Windsor to Detroit and connecting Highway 401 to the U.S. Interstate.

Nyx Hemera’s TLACS is now installed to control the over 15 000 luminaires lighting the 11 short tunnels built on the 11 km Parkway. The TLACS controls the luminaires according to their locations and, mostly importantly, per the real daylight in order to reduce the “black hole” effect that blinds the drivers for few seconds when entering into tunnels.

“Parkway Infrastructure Constructors (PIC) needed a robust, proven and reliable control system for the lighting of the 11 tunnels. We supplied them with an effective system offering value-added features specifically designed for road tunnels that will help in daily operations, which in turn can lead to substantial operational cost savings. The eleven lighting control systems can be linked to be managed from a remote control center.” explained Mr. Longtin.
