11 tunnels on an 11 km parkway in Windsor, ON
Nyx Hemera’s TLACS is now installed to control the over 15 000 luminaires lighting the 11 tunnels built on the 11 km new road of the Herb Gray Parkway in Windsor, Ontario in Canada. The Parkway now ensures the safe and efficient movement of people, goods and services to and from the new Canadian Inspection Plaza and international bridge at the Windsor-Detroit’s border. The TLACS controls the luminaires according to their location and, mostly importantly, per the real daylight, in order to reduce the “black hole” effect that blinds the drivers for few seconds when entering into tunnels.
