The inspection revealed that the existing system was outdated, parts were difficult to find, and the high-pressure sodium system was inefficient.<\/p><p>Subsequently, the MnDOT decided to carry out a retrofit project estimated to cost approximately $4 million and that includes 293 LED luminaires, the <strong>TLACS-EM lighting control system<\/strong>, and <strong>the SCADA interface<\/strong> from Nyx-Hemera Technologies.<\/p><p>This new lighting system will fulfill MnDOT objectives of improving user safety and visibility, especially during the winter, and reducing maintenance, closures, and
