Nyx Hemera Technologies has deployed its powerline lighting control solutions, TLACS-EM and TLACS-U in the Vista Ridge Tunnel, Jefferson Tunnel and 11 underpasses in Portland Oregon (ODOT Region 1). The use of a uniform system throughout the tunnels and underpasses, which have a total of 1427 luminaires, will simplify maintenance and operator operation of the system.
Awarded by Ameresco as part of its energy efficiency program, this project is expected to result in a 50% energy savings through the installation of TLACS and new LED fixtures.
In addition to the 13 tunnels/underpasses, Nyx Hemera is currently installing two additional underpasses that are managed by the City of Portland.
