This rehabilitation tunnel project includes the replacement of the tunnel lighting control system with the Nyx’ TLACS-U+. Over the standard TLACS-U components, Nyx Hemera Technologies integrated the Automatic Transfer Switch, the Main Electrical Panel, the Emergency Electrical Panel, and the UPS.

This tunnel being in a remote location in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the kiosk with climate control has been painted per the Park’s requirements. Lastly, as no DOT Network is available in the Park, a cellular link has been installed to remotely control and monitor the lighting system from the DOT operational center.
