THE LCAM PHOTOMETER – DID YOU KNOW?
The LCAM photometer, installed at a safe sight stopping distance (SSSD) according to the speed and orientation of the tunnel, simulates drivers’ vision at the entrance. It measures the luminosity at this point, so that the TLACS can adjust the luminance to avoid glaring in case of over-lighting, or black hole effect in the event of under-lighting.
Considering that 2/3 of accidents occur at the entrance of the tunnel, the TLACS is crucial for the safety of the users.
