JOSEPH SAMSON TUNNEL – QUEBEC
The Joseph-Samson Tunnel was constructed in the 1980s is a vehicular bridge–tunnel in the Quebec City borough of La Cité-Limoilou.
The bridge carries six lanes of traffic (two reversible), a bike lane on the west side, and sidewalks on both sides.
This infrastructure needed an update of the TLACS lighting control system. This update primarily involved replacing the control panel with state-of-the-art components, updating embedded software, verifying the proper functioning of equipment installed in the tunnel, and commissioning.
This update enhanced the overall system performance and provide improved monitoring while preserving the majority of components installed during the initial commissioning nearly 10 years ago.
