SYSTEMS ENGINEER
DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the design group, your role as a systems engineer is to design, integrate and manage complex systems, including our TLACS tunnel lighting control system and other infrastructure systems developed by Nyx Hemera Technologies.
Under the supervision of the Systems Engineering Coordinator, you will, among other things, be involved in the design of control cabinets, integrating hardware and software components to optimize the monitoring, management and automation of road infrastructure lighting control. You will play a key role in the design, production, integration and testing phases, ensuring that each element works in harmony. You will also collaborate with the R&D team on the development of new products and functionalities. Finally, you will assist the technical team in the commissioning of systems at our customers’ sites.
MAIN TASKS :
- Develop realization processes, carry out design reviews and transfer data to production;
- Design control cabinets, including electrical, thermal and dimensional load calculations;
- Select components according to requirements, performance and cost-effectiveness, giving preference to our standard components;
- Coordinate product and service production processes in partnership with external players;
- Write design specifications and technical specifications (Design Submission File);
- Collaborate with draftsmen on drawings, in compliance with CSA and UL standards;
- Participate in drawing up factory test plans for equipment and systems;
- Program PLCs, controllers and SCADA systems;
- Participate in system commissioning at customer sites;
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to develop new products;
- Contribute to the development of service offers.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POST:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or computer engineering, with 3 years’ relevant experience or any other training and experience deemed relevant;
- Intérêt pour les dessins techniques et les techniques de systèmes de contrôle;
- Maitrise des logiciels AutoCAD et/ou SolidWork;
- Mastery of current CSA and UL standards for control panels;
- Demonstrated experience in SCADA systems;
- Bonne communication verbale et écrite en français et en anglais;
- Engineers/CPI candidates must be members of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
STRENGTHS:
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD Electrical software;
- Proficiency in project management software tools;
- Expérience en programmation en automatisation (PLC) et réseaux industriels;
- Connaissances en calculs photométriques et design d’éclairage;
- Bonne capacité d’apprentissage.
TYPE OF POSITION :
Poste à temps complet, 37.5 heures par semaine.
