THE LA LINEA TUNNEL – COLOMBIA
The La Línea Tunnel, located on Highway 40 in Calarcá, Cajamarca, Colombia, is the longest tunnel in the Americas at 28,380 ft (8,650 m). The project includes the road that runs through the departments of Quindio and Tolima in central Colombia, making it more agile and reducing travel time from Bogota to the port of Buenaventura.
OUR SOLUTION – TLACS-EM
Since 2017, Nyx Hemera has carried out the implementation of the lighting control system for the 23 tunnels of the CROSSING OF THE CENTRAL CORDILLERA (La Línea) project. The TLACS-EM system has been installed to control the luminaires of the threshold and transition areas, with a total of 972 lights controlled by 2 Lighting Control Cabinets (LCC) with redundancy. There will
be the possibility of integrating this solution into the rest of the tunnels of
the project.
Solution:
- TLACS-EM
Characteristics:
- 972 LED luminaires
- It is part of a set of 23 short tunnels on an over 12,4 miles of highway
- Tunnel length 28,380 ft.
- Energy savings from 25% to 55%
