COMISSIONING IN THE TOWN OF HOPKINTON, MA
This week, Nyx’ Team is commissioning the TLACS intelligent lighting control system in the Town of Hopkinton, Massachusetts—a vibrant community 26.2 miles west of Boston. The project aims to enhance roadway safety for vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians while reducing downtown congestion.
As part of the upgrade, new LED luminaires were installed with adjustable brightness based on ambient lighting and town events. The selected models, GranVille III and Memphis Teardrop from Holophane, are decorative luminaires, preventing the use of visible RF antennas or Wi-Fi control due to their design. The chosen solution is therefore the installation of TLACS-A, which uses Power Line communication, exploiting the existing electrical wiring for seamless control and monitoring of the lighting system.
Solution: TLACS-A
Characteristics:
- Retrofit
- Decorative LED luminaires
