A major improvement project along Interstate 95 (I-95) began in 2025 on this critical transportation corridor connecting Pelham Manor and Mamaroneck, serving approximately 120,000 vehicles per day.
As part of this initiative, the Larchmont Tunnel, measuring approximately 300 ft in length, has undergone a significant modernization. The tunnel’s lighting infrastructure was upgraded with 789 LED luminaires and a new TLACS-EM lighting control system.
The system centralizes luminaire monitoring and management while enabling advanced dimming control, per the real outdoor conditions, through the TLACS-SCADA interface. This improves visibility and safety for motorists, enhances operational efficiency, and optimizes energy consumption.
